Passionate about democratising access to coaching for everyone, Corey views Humani as the platform to make this vision a reality. “Being at the front of something genuinely different, something that hasn’t been done before, is an opportunity I am very excited for,” Corey shares.
Corey identifies trust as a critical challenge in today’s workplaces, particularly in fast-changing environments marked by redundancies and restructurings. He believes that “trust isn’t built in moments of celebration; it’s built in moments of challenge.” Humani, he notes, empowers leaders to foster trust by helping them connect personally with their teams, building relationships grounded in empathy, presence, and growth-oriented feedback. “Trust builds culture,” he states, stressing that a foundation of trust is essential to people-first organisations.
Reflecting on his own leadership journey, Corey emphasises that “an infallible leader is a myth; it only holds organisations back.” He advocates for humility, encouraging leaders to admit when they don’t have all the answers. In Corey’s view, organisations excel when leaders truly listen, engage with curiosity, and openly support their teams by acknowledging both what they know and what they don’t.
Corey also sees technology as an ally in building strong interpersonal connections. “Technology should enhance, not replace, human connection,” he notes, explaining that, when used thoughtfully, tech can streamline tasks and free leaders to engage meaningfully with their teams. For him, it’s about using technology to amplify personal coaching’s impact across organisations—not adding tech for tech’s sake.
We’re thrilled to welcome Corey to the Humanizers Advisory Board. His experience leading teams for global companies across EMEA, the US, and APAC brings invaluable insights to our mission of creating a product and community that serves individuals worldwide.
You can hear more of Corey’s thoughts on the role of science and technology in people strategies at the Humani launch event in London on 27th November and in Copenhagen on 4th December.
